A tide dependent walk from Fingal Picnic ground near Cape Schanck to 16^th Beach, Rye. A beach walk with largely firm sand at low tide.  Occasional rocky outcrops to be negotiated with care. Poles and sun protection highly recommended. Requires a car shuffle from 16^th Beach.  Meet 9.30am near toilets at Fingal Picnic Ground, (Melways:, B9). Car pooling from Manhattan, 7.45am, may be possible.
