Meet at Lilydale Council/tennis courts meeting point at 7.45 for 8am carpool departure.   Secondary pickup point at McKenzie Reserve, Yarra Glen, at 8.15.  Walk starts at 9am at Island Creek Picnic Area, Kinglake-Glenburn Rd., Glenburn (turn into Westbridge Rd at Melba Hwy and this becomes Kinglake-Glenburn Rd).  If driving direct please be there at 8.45am.  It is only a small parking area so please park close together.  This is a circuit walk of 18km.  A large part of the walk is on management tracks and 4WD tracks with some very pretty small tracks beside the creek.  There is also some walking beside the main road.  There is a long climb of approx 1.5km with an ascent of approx m, total ascent for the walk is m.  There is a creek crossing on rocks and salvaged wood.  This was a wet crossing on the recce on 10th May after 15mm of overnight rain and some rain during the recce.  Hopefully this will lessen during the week but be prepared for a wet crossing with poles and appropriate footwear.  The falls were flowing today and hopefully will be so on the day of the walk.  Tracks were generally quite muddy and slippery, with plenty of ups and downs.  PLEASE ADVISE YOUR MEETING/CARPOOLING POINT.
